CARL HANSSON’S PARENTS

Not much has been determined at this time. Ida indicated one of her grandparents was a farmer – possibly Carl’s father. Ida mentioned that their mother was born out of wedlock to a professor at the University of Lund and a school teacher who was from a respected family in Lund. Their mother was raised in foster homes in Trolleholm (?) and died on February 3, 1914. She mentions their grandmother, Miss Lunderberg (?) visited several times. Ida reported she was born in 1814 and died in 1906 (age - 92). Ida’s letter of 2/3/1947 indicated that their parents had eight children and three died as infants; that leaves five, but we only know of four of them – Carl, Ida, Anna and Gottfrid – so there may be another that died of young age.
